Long-Term O-Ring Stress
Using larger tanks means you’ll have to open and close them more often to refill. This constant wear and tear can put extra stress on the o-rings and seals, making them wear out faster. And when the seals start to wear out, leaks become more likely. So, keep an eye on those o-rings!
Tank/Mod Compatibility
Not all tanks and mods are a perfect match. If you have a bulky tank on a thin tube mod, it can be harder to get a tight fit. And when the fit isn’t tight, it’s easier for leaks to happen. So, make sure your tank and mod are compatible and fit together snugly.
Bottom Versus Top Fill
How you fill your tank can also affect the likelihood of leaks. Bottom-fill tanks without liquid-level windows are trickier to fill without overdoing it. On the other hand, top-fill options make it easier to avoid overfilling. So, choose your filling method wisely!
To reduce the risk of leaks, some vape kits prefer using smaller 3-5mL sub-ohm tanks that are specifically designed for their kit. If you’re using a high mL tank, there are a few things you can do to minimize leaks.
